Milestones

I have been home with the Squiggler and her sisters this week and I am loving it! I never wanted to ever be a stay at home mom, but with this one, knowing that she is my last... I so wish we could win the Lotto so that I could stay home with her everyday! How funny since I never ever wanted that before. This week she has
  • learned to roll over
  • try to drink from a sippy cup
  • got a used jumperoo
  • has been out walking with her sisters
  • has petted the dog (She loves the dog!)
  • has had apple and cantaloupe
  • wants to talk on the real phone
  • sounds like she says dada (of course they never say mama first)
  • can do a 360 on her belly

Your sisters have been getting along so well this week and I hope it continues. I so always wanted a sister too and one of my wishes for my girls is that they grow up to be best friends! I dream of the day that all four of us go out shopping and to lunch, my beautiful girls and I. We will be leaving daddy the grandkids. Tomorrow we are going to daddy's school so the Squiggler can meet all the wonderful people that daddy works with.

Happy Father's Day!

Today is Father's Day and my day wouldn't be complete if I didn't tell you about my wonderful DH! He really is a great father, husband, brother and all around great guy! I am so lucky and blessed that he came into my life and even though we've had our ups and downs like most couples, the ups totally outweigh the downs. We went to church this morning, came home and just spent the day together as a family. We even snuck in naps with the Squiggler today. I think it was a good day except for the fact that he didn't let me take any pictures today! Well there is always tomorrow. I love you honey!!

What a Week!

I knew this week was going to be crazy, but I really had no idea that the Squiggler and I were going to get sick this week too! On Monday one of the cute little boys in my class sneezed on me. Now granted he didn't mean to and he is only 5, but as soon as he did, I knew I was going to get sick and I did! By 1pm I could feel the cold coming on and I had hoped to spare the Squiggler. I think we would have been okay, but she got her 6 month check up Wednesday and she got 4 shots and an oral vaccine. Poor baby! :(

She went to see her doctor at the new Kaiser facility near our house. (It was so brand new and shiny!) She is doing great and weighs 16lbs. 13oz. and she is 27 inches long. She is our thinnest baby at 6 months but our longest. She is going to be tall like her aunt Princess and sister Weegie. She was all smiles at the doctors too, talking and showing off her new rolling skills. She learned to roll this week and fell off grandma's bed on Tuesday. Anyhow the nurse gave her the four shots really quickly, she was good, and the Squiggler just looked at me like "How could you let them do that to me mommy?" and then she let out this cry and it broke my heart! I had taken the day off and spent the rest of the day just playing and having fun with her. She ended up taking a two hour nap and then she was all smiles again!

On Thursday she started to get a little bit of a runny nose and I could tell the sparkle was not in her eyes! By that evening you could tell she was having trouble with her nose and her breathing was a little funny. She was suppose to go to work with me on Friday, all day, because Grandma had to go out of town. My principal had okayed it and I had packed all her stuff in the car the night before. At 4am in the morning my husband woke me, now granted I am still sick too, and told me that he was calling in sick to work because he didn't want the baby to have to go to work with me. What a good daddy!! You have no idea how that made my heart feel that he was willing to stay home to take care of our baby! It was the last day of school and I knew that I had to go in to say goodbye to my little ones! By the time I got home the Squiggler was feeling better and you could see that her sparkle was back! My husband really is the best!

Speaking of my little ones, yesterday we had our end of the year celebration. It was definitely one of the best celebrations I had ever had with my kinders. Almost all the students except for 2 had someone there to represent them, the students sang so wonderful and the play we performed was really good too! During my thank you speech I started to cry because I realized how much I was going to miss this class. These kids were just fabulous and I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of kids! The moms started crying too! We had a great potluck afterwards and all the parents stayed and took pictures and ate! Today we had another party too! What a great group of parents and kids! Next year will be an exciting year too, but I will miss these little ones!

Weegie my oldest daughter will be going to 8th grade next year and the Speedy Cheetah will be a 5th grader. That means two graduations next year! WOW!! My babies are growing up! It happens so fast!! Both girls pulled off perfect report cards and we ARE SO PROUD OF THEM!

Time is Flying By!

So much happening around here! I only have 5 more days of work and the girls only have 5 more days of school! With that for me comes....report cards, cums, portfolios and awards! It's been crazy! I also snuck in two nights of having dinner out with different friends. (Of course I took the Squiggler with me!) It was fun, but I was so tired I took a two hour nap yesterday with the baby. Thankfully my husband let me!

Friday, I took all the girls to the mall so that Speedy Cheetah could have her pictures taken like a Rockstar! She had seen the ad one time when I took the Squiggler and asked if she could do it. Saturday was there last day using these props so I wanted to make good on my promise. She loved having her picture taken and wanted me to buy ALL of them! LOL! I bought a few!!!

On Saturday I took all the girls to the mall again so that Weegie could go to the movies with her friends. They had a nice time. Later that night she had a concert at her school that was REALLY GOOD! We met her boyfriend's parents. Yes, you read that right her boyfriend, but I will save that post for tomorrow. Hopefully my friend, Mrs. Pooh, will give us the picture she took of them.

The Squiggler continues to do well and thrive! She is talking more and accidently rolled over the other night. I am contemplating whether to buy her a jumperoo or not? I really don't know? She has outgrown her swing and really doesn't have anything else to play with so we will see. I need to decide this week!

Our Baby is 6 months!

Oh my how time flies! Today the Squiggler is 6 months and I can't believe it! It seems like just yesterday she was born and now she is 1/2 a year old! Wow! When I was single and had no kids, I use to think that time just dragged on, but as soon as I had kids I just want time to freeze and I want to enjoy my kids!! Each minute with them is so precious and I just want to hold it a little longer! Today we took Squiggler to JCP to have her picture taken. She was tired and decided not to take a morning nap. Well you know how that goes.... she got a little crabby, but we still managed to take a few cute ones. I'm not sure if they will come out, but I will try.

Squiggler 6 months
  • You are almost sitting up and love to stand up.
  • You eat rice cereal for breakfast and vegetables for dinner. (You like sweet potatoes best.)
  • Today you had pears for the first time.
  • You can almost roll over, but not quite.
  • You love to talk to your sisters and have gab sessions with them in the back.
  • Speedy Cheetah says that you think the world is a giant lollipop because you put lick everything!
  • You love to screech and yell and get all excited when you do it.
  • Your hair is changing and grandma thinks it's getting curlier! Oh no!
  • You love people and hate to be alone.
  • You love the dog and laugh everytime he gets near you.
  • You don't love your swing inside, your door jumpy or vibrating chair.
  • You do love to be outside in your swing or just sitting outside.

You really are such a blessing to our family and we are so glad that God gave you to us and vice a versa! Thank you God...for my mommy, my daddy, my sisters, my grandma, my doggy and for me! That's what we pray every morning!

I love you so much my princesa!
