Happy Birthday Baby Girl! (Round 2)

Happy 17th Birthday to our oldest Princess! On Thursday she had her birthday and celebrated at school with a bunch of goodies from her friends! She received cookies, make up, clothes and lots of cards. She asked her daddy to make her chicken parmesan and she went to dance class! (She didn't want to miss her class because her recital is coming up!) On Friday, I picked her and her besties up and dropped them off at the mall. They went to see Gatsby since they had just finished the book and out to dinner. They also went to Starbucks which we also did the day before, but that turned into a fiasco.  My Starbucks totally let me down, but that is another story! It all turned out to be okay because I did end up with a lot of free drinks! They had a great time!
On Saturday, we went shopping in the morning and she bought a formal dress for a really great price and now has something to wear to her many dances she has next year! She took her lifelong bestie to the game with her and they had a blast! I'm so glad she had a great birthday and she still has more presents coming, just not yet. (Her sister does too) I love you baby girl! You make me a better person and I'm so glad that I'm your mom!

Happy 14th Birthday Baby Girl!

Today is Speedy Cheetah's birthday! She's been so busy that she says she actually forgot her birthday was coming up when I reminded her on Tuesday! She had school, CST testing, practice and then we went out to eat at her favorite place, Soup Plantation. She is getting a new phone for her birthday, but it's not here yet. She is also going to Magic Mountain this Saturday to compete and she just came back from Chicago for four days. I think so far this has been a good birthday for her. She is excited to be starting high school in the fall, but will miss her friends from middle school. (She is the only one from her class going to her new high school) I know this little girl will do great things in her life! She always had a special bond with her paternal grandpa and I have no doubt he is looking over her and guiding her every step! He would be so proud of her and her philosophical ways! Love you Speedy Cheetah!

Happy Birthday Squiggler!

Today the Squiggler turned 4! I can't believe that my baby is 4 already! She is such a little girl and so sassy! She makes us laugh everyday and we can't believe how much energy she has! She is so smart and we love her so much! My husband and I both took the day off from school today so we could spend it with her.  She got to sleep in until 8:30 and when she woke up we were both there! She was so happy! We made breakfast and then got her ready for school!
She had a very special dress for today, it was pink and frilly, just like she likes them!  We took her to school and it was her teacher's birthday too! How special! We ran around and got things for her party then we picked up her special pink cupcakes!  Her teacher loves celebrations and so we took lunch for the entire class! She wanted pizza, carrots, ranch dressing, juice and pink cupcakes. The kids loved it and they are so small that they only eat one slice of pizza.  Most kids don't like cupcakes and only eat the frosting.  Some kids in her class also brought her presents.  She got a Mr. Potato head, princess cups, markers and paper, a drawing set, barrettes, and a stuffed parrot with a pink blanket.  She was so happy!
After school we came home and got ready to go have her picture taken.  We got there early so we got to see Santa Claus! It has been the same Santa for the past 5 years of her life and I shared with him her first picture.  He gave her a coloring book and a stuffed reindeer.  He was really good to her and we were the only ones there.  We get to have breakfast with him in a couple of weeks too! This picture was taken 2 weeks ago,but I love it!!! It captures her perfectly.  We got some great shots of her today too, but not a lot because there were two little girls distracting her during her shoot.  The mother wasn't even watching her kids and they came in to see Squiggler so of course she wanted to talk to them.  We then went to Target so she could pick a toy and I was able to get my Kinder students a nice present too! I was so happy! She picked a Barbie and the Popstar Play thing.  It came with two little dolls and she really likes it. (She asked Santa for the DVD for Christmas.)  Afterwards we came home and I ran to Speedy Cheetahs concert to hear her sing.  She was great! When I came home I expected her to be asleep.  She wasn't, but her daddy was! LOL! We will have cake and ice cream tomorrow because it was just too late. I just wanted to blog today and capture what we did! We love you so much Squiggler! You have blessed our lives in ways we never knew possible! You bring so much happiness to us and we can't believe how fast you are growing! You are so sweet, polite and loving! You have a mischievous side too! You like school and love all your teachers! I will blog more about you tomorrow and hopefully share your Santa picture!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today was my birthday! I spent it with my girls. We went to the Cheesecake Factory. (I paid! LOL!) My honey who is convalesing at his brother's house sent me 6 pink roses and star gazer lilies. My oldest also bought me a cupcake from a gourmet cupcake shop. I didn't go to Disney this year, but we are saving to buy season passes. Hopefully that will happen soon! I need to go to sleep now, but I wanted to record my special day!

Squiggler is 3!

I can't believe that our baby girl is 3! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was checking into the hospital and out popped this beautiful baby girl that I had prayed so hard for. She is such a delight to our family and completes us fully! I was just talking about this with a friend of mine the other day...I knew my family wasn't complete because we were missing the Squiggler, but now that she is here...I feel so complete and don't yearn for another one. I cherish every moment with her, even when she tries our patience! She is so full of life and energy!!! We love you so much Squiggler! Happy 3rd Birthday Baby!
The above pictures are from her party. I might post some more later. She had the best day and "all" her friends were there! Her cousin Luke and her best friend Lily! She had so much fun with everyone and played. It was really cold so we had set up inside just in case. She got a table and chairs as well as things for her kitchen. She loved all her gifts and kept squealing for delight when she opened each one. We had gourmet cupcakes instead of a traditional cake and lots of other goodies, as well as hamburgers and hot dogs.
It has become a tradition to have her picture taken with Santa on this day and she was so excited! She literally jumped on his lap and caught him by surprise! She told him that she wanted a bike for Christmas. Hmmmm? We will see? She wore this special dress for him because it matched him. She was so funny and so cute! I took the whole day off to spend it with her and she was so happy when she woke up. (She hates that I have to go to work each day.) We went to JCP's to have her picture taken and they came out great!! She did said an amazing job! Then we stayed in JCP's and bought her a pink Barbie car and a mermaid doll to put in it. Afterwards we took our pictures with Santa and went to lunch at Red Robin. They brought her an ice cream sundae and song to her too. Later she had to go to the doctors. She weighs 30 pounds and is 95 centimeters! She had to get a shot and she didn't like that. She sang for the doctor and kept climbing for him. I was all worried, but he said to let her! The doctor asked me if people are always commenting on how skinny she is. He said she is PERFECT! Yay!
Here she is today with her birthday cake. She loved blowing out the candles. After the doctors we went to Target and she bought two more things with a gift card she got for her bday. She was very happy and very tired. We went to go pick up her sister from school and I thought for sure she was going to fall asleep, but not my baby! She got a lot of energy and didn't fall asleep until 7pm!
I think she had a super day because I know I did! Squiggler you are such a delight! You aren't afraid of anything, you love to dance and sing. You started dance class with Miss Erika and Sunday school with Miss Lucy. Both of them love you and say you do a really good job! You love to talk and love to help. You help your daddy cook or your mommy do the laundry. You love to watch the Wonder Pets or Mickey's Club House. You love your sisters so much and want to hang out with them all the time. You can be such a Mommy's girl or a Daddy's girl depending on who's in the room with you. You know all your shapes and colors and know some letters of the alphabet like C. When people ask you how old you are you say 12! LOL! You love to read and for some reason don't like numbers very much. I buy you size 2 or 3 clothes, but you can fit into a 12-18 months easily except the length is too short! You have long feet just like your sisters and currently wear an 8 1/2 or 9. Happy Birthday my little Princess! I thank God for you everyday and I am so glad he let me be your mommy!

Mis Quince Photo Shoot

What a day! We started by going to church early this morning, coming home, taking Weegie to get her hair done, going to Costco, coming home, 2 hour dance practice, getting make up done, change clothes, run to the park, take pictures, run back to the dress shop, get new clothes, go back to the park, take more pictures, run back to the dress shop, change clothes one more time, run to church, deliver passes and then finally home! Today Weegie had her reception picture photo shoot and she looked amazing!!!! I would post a picture, but I'm waiting until after the quince. She was going to dress casual, but then Anna, the dress shop owner said she could borrow her cheetah top. We had no idea what she was talking about. She told Cynthia to take her black skirt and so she did. It turned out that she let Weegie borrow a purple zebra top with bling. It was beautiful and looked incredibley sexy with the black skirt and heels. The photographer liked it, but he wanted the skirt to go with the top so asked us to go back to the shop and get it. At first Anna didn't want us to borrow it, but then she gave in. (She actually owed me one or two favors so.....) The look was even more amazing!!! The photographer got some great, great, great shots! I got one amazing one with my little camera too! So basically for her quince my daughter got to wear 3 amazing dresses. She really loved this dress, but is going more traditional with her main dress. I will post after the Quince. My baby looked so grown up and it made me so teary eyed. I can't imagine how I am going to be on Friday! She is so excited and I pray that it is everything that she dreams of!!!

Happy 12th Birthday!

Today Speedy Cheetah turned 12 years old at 7:07 PM. Where does the time fly? It seems like just yesterday that I remember being in labor with her! We went to church and then out to eat breakfast and I remember feeling funny. (Almost like I was going to have my monthly company) I remembered the feeling from when I delivered my first daughter. At church I told people that I thought I was in labor. She was actually due on the 1st, but didn't want to come out of her cozy spot. This is true today too, she hates to be waked up every morning. Of my 3 girls she was the quickest and easiest labor and delivery. We got to the hospital at 6:30 and she was born 37 minutes later!! Good thing we left to the hospital when we did!

My hubby and I had decided we wanted to give Speedy an extra special gift this year! She has been such an awesome girl, does well in school, has to put up with her sister's quince and helps us tremendously with her little sister. (She has a way with little kids!) We normally don't spend a lot of money on their birthday presents, but felt she called for an exception this year. She really wanted to be surprised with her gift, but I didn't want to buy the wrong thing! She kept telling us that she was getting a chinchilla. (Ha!) I decided to take her down to the Grove just her and I because I wanted her to utimately pick her gift.I picked the grove because I knew they had an Apple store and they had a B & N store. I didn't know whether to get her a Nook or IPod Touch and wanted her to decide after looking at them both. We went down there and walked around for a while. I forgot to take the blindfold, but had her close her eyes while I led her in to B&N and took her to the Nook station. When she opened her eyes she was very excited and I told her my plan. We asked questions and played with the Nook, then we went to the Apple store and did the same thing with the IPod. She decided on the Nook and I kind of knew she would, but wanted to be 100% sure! She loves it and has already bought some stuff to read on it and play with.I also bought her a treat to eat and drink. We walked around some more and then headed home. We ended up taking our girls to Menchies later that night and today on her real birthday she opted to go to Millie's for dinner. She is having a slumber party with her friends this weekend and we will sing to her then and eat cake and ice cream. Here she is already reading away on her Nook. This year has been a big year for her because she has started middle school and has gained so much confidence!! We are so proud of her and love her so much!! She is our baby girl and always will be! She has a heart of gold and is the sweetest girl. She has a funny/wierd sense of humor, loves Glee and considers herself a tomboy! We wouldn't change a thing about this little girl! We love you so much Speedy!!!

Happy Birthday to Me Part 2!

This birthday proved to be a really GREAT one! My actual birthday was on Tuesday, but on Monday my honey made me a special dinner since I wasn't going to be home on my actual birthday. Then on my birthday I got to go to the Happiest and most Crowdest Place on Earth!! I had so much fun with my mom and two of my girls. I also kind of got in for free, but that is another story for another time.
On Wednesday, my besties took me out to breakfast to a French restaurant called Chez Nous. It was sooo yummy and we had such a good time. I have known the bottom picture besties for about 14 1/2 years. The day I started at my new school they came up and introduced themselves to me and we all taught Kinder. We were the 3 Muskateers. Sadly, they have both left me, but we are all still friends. The bestie on top was my old boss and we became such good friends and join the other two once a month for dinner. We have been doing this for the last 4 years now and we have a date every month! These are old pictures because I forgot to take out my camera and have the waiter take our picture. We had the best waiter and the yummiest croissants!!
The picture on the bottom is also from a couple of years ago. (Pre-Squiggler) It is of me and my oldest and dearest bff! We have known each other since we were 8 and have been through so much together!!!! She is like the sister that I never had. She was the maid of honor at my wedding and I am the godmother to her only son. She and I went out to breakfast this morning to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, she was sad because the guy she had been seeing broke up with her on my birthday!! How dare him! He is a good guy, but they both want different things. I know it's very hard for her right now, but I hope that her heart heals fast and she finds the right guy she is looking for. She is a great person (and so was he) and deserves the type of guy that can give her all that she desires.

Also on Wednesday my mommy made me my favorite meal, meatloaf. I don't like just any meatloaf, but I love my mommy's! I have never ever ever celebrated my birthday 3 days in a row. It was very nice! Usually people just forget!! This year I received lots of texts, phone calls and time with good people! Thank you God for all my blessings!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Me 2010!

Well another birthday is here and I enjoyed my day at the Happiest Place on Earth. My mom had one two tickets in a raffle and we decided to go on my birthday. Weegie and Squiggler went with us too. We go there bright and early, but it was already packed!!! We got into the park at 9am and found out that they closed the park at 10am! Wow! So glad we weren't late!
The Squiggler did not like the characters this year except for Mickey Mouse. She liked him and kept waving at him during the parade and when he marched with the band in front of the castle. This year we got on Small World and Dumbo. She loved both of them, but she loved the Small World ride the most. She kept waving at the dolls and clapping her hands. When we got off the ride she wanted to buy this small boat filled with people so we did to remeber this trip with her.

She got plum tuckered out around 3pm and so she took a nap in her stroller. It got really cold after 4pm so I wrapped her in my mom's jacket. She slept for a good hour. During that time I just walked around while my mom and Weegie got on rides. This year we were able to see both parades, that Squiggler enjoyed, and the snow fall. I didn't see that last year and it was absolutely beautiful. My mom and Weegie ran into Squiggler's boyfriend at Autopia! I couldn't believe it!! All the people there and we ran into somebody we knew. Squiggler didn't see him or she would have wanted to go with him. Just kidding!

Weegie bought a cute headband, Squiggler got the boat and a stuffed Mickey. I got a shirt and so did my mom. We stayed until about 8pm, but by then I was tired!! I didn't sleep well the night before and had been up since 2:30 in the morning!

We went into California Adventures for a little while, but we didn't stay long. I had the girls take a picture in the O for our last name. Of course we couldn't get the Squiggler to look. I had another wonderful birthday and so many of my friends and family called or texted me to wish me a wonderful day. It was!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Squiggler!

Happy 2nd Birthday to our littlest princess!!! I can't believe that it has been 2 whole years that she has blessed our lives!! I feel so lucky to be her mommy and try to cherish all that she brings to our lives! Right now she is bringing sooooo much energy and I am loving it!! (Tired, but loving it.) I took the day off today to spend it with her and what a busy day it was! We started off the morning by taking Speedy Cheetah to school then we came home and got ready for her doctor's appointment. We got to the doctor's office at 10am and checked in. We had to wait in the waiting room for an hour!!! By this time I was a little upset and let the receptionist know that I have never had to wait in the waiting room for an hour ever!!! She said, "Well it's Dr. So and So and you know how he is." Well I have been seeing Dr. So and So for 14 1/2 years and have never once waited in the waiting room for an hour. I have had to wait in the waiting room, and examing room up to an hour total before to see him, but that is different. Needless to say we were seen very quickly afterwards and were out of there no later then 20 minutes later. Hmmm?

The Squiggler is 34 1/4 inches long and weighs 24.8 pounds. The weight might be off a little because she would not get on the scale so the Doctor got on the scale and then got on the scale again subtracting his weight to get her weight. She is doing very well and talked up quite the storm for him. They gave her a book and she fell in love with the nurse that gave it to her. She was so happy. Her next visit isn't until she is 3.

Afterwards, we went to JCPenneys to have her portraits taken and that was another long wait! I was not happy about that one either and will be talking to the District manager regarding how to train her new employees. The young photographer did redeem himself in the sense that he took a lot of time with my energetic toddler and did get some great shots. This will be the last month I take her to JCPenneys until maybe Easter and then I will do just 1/2 year shots and Birthday shots. The quality of my favorite studio has gone down and I don't see it getting any better because the manager is going to go on maternity leave with her first child and all my other favorite photographers have left. I think you can see the pictures here, but they do not let you download the thumbnails anymore. So sad, but I will scan them when they come in.

There is so much I could add about our adventureous day, but I think I will leave that for another time because I kind of have a picture to go with that. Afterwards, we went to go see Santa and had 10 full minutes of Santa all to ourselves!!! The photographer was busy and so Squiggler just went right up to him and sat on his lap. He talked to her and told her he would bring her a big dolly like she asked for. He sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to her and read her the Night Before Christmas. I couldn't believe it and was soooo happy that she was not afraid of him. I had planned to take her to Toys R Us to pick a present, but we ran out of time. That evening when we went to the market she saw a little doll with a pacifier and started playing with it. It only costed $5, and so I bought it for her. She said her name is Teena.
The Squiggler is sooo energetic right now and talking in little sentences. I love her sweet voice! She says things like: Where's sister? Cake me mommy. I no like it. and so many more that I need to copy down. She repeats everything and really likes to watch her fav movies including Whip It now. (Long story how that came to be.) She loves french fries and chicken nuggets, but is still a good overall eater. She eats when she's hungry. She learned how to climb in and out of her crib thanks to her dad. She loves to jump on everything!!!! She can skip and hop and runs fast! She falls and gets a lot of brusises by crashing into the wall! She loves her family and likes to hug you and say "I love you so much!" She is just a ball of energy!! She really still likes boys and tries to hold little boys hands. (We have to watch her!) All the above pictures were taken today, but I didn't get a home photo shoot with her cute little birthday outfits. I will try that tomorrow. Squiggler we love you so much too! I hope you had a great day because even with all the craziness of the day I know I did just spending it with you!!!

These Boots were Made for Partying!

Yesterday we celebrated Squiggler's 2nd birthday! We had a small party at our house and prayed really hard for no rain! Well Praise God! Our prayers were answered and we had a very nice day to celebrate our little one's birthday. Her party was much smaller then last years, but very special people her life were able to attend and we are happy that we were able to give her a party. She still doesn't quite get the whole birthday concept yet and didn't really want to open her presents. This year she did love her cake though!!!! Last year she didn't want anything to do with her cake! LOL! She kept poking at it and getting little samples for herself.
We went with a Cowgirl theme because she LOVES her pink cowgirl boots. When were in Arizona over the summer I had wanted to buy her some, but they were very exspensive and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that I didn't think she was going to wear a lot. When we got home I looked on Ebay and found these boots for $5! She wears them every chance she gets! Since then I have gotten her a couple of other boots for really good prices too. Anyhow we went with the Cowgirl theme and had the hardest time trying to find things for her goody bags and just decorations in general. I got some cute things off Etsy and was able to make some of her items to decorate.

Here she is with my two nieces that just adore her. I think because she is littler then them and they can love on her like a little doll.! We kept it simple and had chip, dip and nachos for appetizers. For lunch we served hamburger, hot dogs and Brats, and homemade macaroni salad. For dessert we had cake and ice cream and the cake was devoured. We get our cakes from my mom's friend and they are so yummy!!! People always come back for seconds and thirds! I had originally planned to get a pony for her party, but then that got all messed up so we just had all her toys out and a bubble machine. The kids (even the big kids) liked playing with her little car, slide and an old bike we had and the bubble machine was a big hit too! The party was over by 5pm because it get's so cold and dark quickly. She didn't take a real nap because she didn't want to miss her own party so she was a little tired and crabby. For the people that stayed we moved the party indoors so she could open her presents. She didn't really care about them too much. She did get really excited when she opened some pajamas that had the princess' on them and she wore them to bed last night. She got a lot of clothes, a baby doll and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.
Here she is with her favorite person in the WHOLE world!!! She calls him her boyfriend and constantly walks around the house pretending to call him and say she is going to kiss him. I wanted to make sure I got there picture together and she was playing hard to get!

Since I was busy running around I left it up to Speedy Cheetah to get some pixs, but the above is my most favorite. I love her smile!! She gives me such a hard time taking her picture latley. I hope it's just a faze that she grows out of soon! Squiggler we love you so much!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday was Monday and I decided to celebrate it at the Happiest Place on Earth. For 2009 they were giving free admission on your birthday and I decided to take advantage of it with my darling Squiggler. (She was free too!) I was a little nervous and first and explained to my two other girls why I wasn't taking them and they understood. (No extra $ after the holidays.) So I ventured out and arrived at Disney at around 8:30 am. We got a great parking space and walked to the park. We had our picture taken right away at the C with Mickey and C for Squiggler's name. Some nice people took the picture for me, but cut off part of the C. Oh well!
As luck would have it, my good friend, Mrs. Pooh was going to be at Disney on that day too and so we met up with her. We got into the park with no problem and they gave me a special pin that said "Happy Birthday". Wow that pin gets you lots of attention! I got sung to 3 times in the first 30 minutes of being in the park. For the rest of the day, everyone was so nice and kept telling me Happy Birthday! We got a silhouette of the Squiggler done right away and then headed to Small World. The Squiggler loved it!! She could not get enough of it and kept swaying her head to the music. We got to sit in the front because it was my birthday and then they gave the Squiggler a pin that said "1st Visit."

We then decide to go to Toon Town and see Mickey. Well with all the excitement the Squiggler fell asleep and so this is what our Mickey pix looks like. I love it!
We then had a great lunch thanks to my wonderful friend Mrs. Pooh and ate at the Carnation Cafe. We stayed to watch the Christmas Parade and Squiggler loved that too! I think she overall really loved Disney and I know she won't remember her 1st visit, but I will. We left the park at around 5 pm and came home to a lovely dinner with my girls and honey. The girls made me a cake and it was so scrumptious! My birthday falls between Christmas and New Years and usually gets lost. This was the 2nd most favorite birthday of my life! (The first being in 1996 when I married my husband in the church and had a church wedding.) Last year I had a "big" birthday, but since I had just had a baby there was no way to celebrate it. This year totally made up for that and it was pretty economical too. Thanks again Mrs. Pooh for a marvelous time. You gave me a present I will never forget! Also thanks to my hubby for letting me go and not trying to talk me out of this crazy idea!
